Judging
Hmm. Whoever is upsetting me the most is my best teacher.
I heard a jogger mention something called Covid insomnia. “Sleep disorders are one of the most common symptoms for patients who’ve had COVID-19,” says sleep medicine specialist Cinthya Pena Orbea, MD. “They report insomnia, fatigue, brain fog and sometimes we even see circadian rhythm disorders.”
In my classroom, October is Physical Health Awareness Month. I made a draft plan, but haven’t communicated it to anyone:
Make good food decisions:
Track your food intake with MyNetDiary
Drink water and track in MyNetDiary
Sleep 8 hours per night
8:30 Meditation
8:45 Evening Thoughts (this blog)
9:00 Lights out
Working Out for 30 minutes or more everyday
Mondays: 20 minutes cardio, then Leg day- Boot Camp
Tuesdays: 20 minutes cardio, then chest/tris through Yoga
Wednesdays: 20 minutes cardio, then back/biceps in Weight Room. Evening workout at MB Wrestling room with Cuesta Wrestling team.
Thursdays: 20 minutes cardio, then sprints on track
Fridays: 20 minutes cardio, Grappling class
I guess the next step will be to put it on the Calendar. What would stop me from doing that? Probably catastrophizing and judging. Well, I did it. It wasn’t the magic bullet, but it was a good step.
