Decide What You Want
I want to write dialogue. I want to write succinct, accurate dialogue that can then be acted out. I want to write dialogue that reveals emotions, problems, advice, as well as tells a good story. I want to be a good storyteller. My favorite writers are my friend Sarah, and my sister Lauren. My favorite writings are the dialogues they capture between them and their kids. Hilarious, insightful, and witty. That's what I like. That's what I want to be when I grow up. A writer for short videos. That sounds really fun. In 2017 I'd like to write and direct videos. I'd like to produce these videos on a schedule. Kind of like Saturday Night Live. Have a deadline where something gets produced. Just like back in 5th grade, producing a story that might have some flaws, but at least there is something there. I started this with "Cam and Yertsa". That's when I felt I was on to something, but I stopped due to internal judgement.
Me: "I'm afraid people will think it's stupid. That will make me think I am stupid. That will make me think I am worthless, that nothing I say matters, that I am not important.
Voice: "On some levels, you ARE stupid, you ARE worthless, nothing you say DOES matter, and you are NOT important.
Me: "So the haters are right?"
Voice: "Apparently."
Me: "I can live with that. Thanks."
Voice: "Are you still talking?"
