Something Big and Very Important

Big and Small were discussing a certain matter.

"I NEED to, it's very important!" the smaller one said.

"Then do it." said Big.

"I could, but I don't think I have the right tools. You see, I've always been told that if I use the right tools, then the job is easier. If I use the wrong tools, then there might be an avalanche of mis-steps that could be catastrophic in the long run. There are so many things to consider!" said Small.

B: "Sounds like you just don't want to do it."

S: "It's not that, it's just that I don't really know if I'm doing it right. And also I don't really want to do it. Would you want to do it?"

B: "That's what I thought. No, I don't really want to do it. I'm annoyed about the fact that we even have to consider doing this. If everyone had just followed through with the things that they said they would do, then we wouldn't be having this discussion. The world would be in perfect harmony, at least regarding this matter. But, that didn't happen, mistakes were made, shortcuts were taken, promises forgotten. One might say "the weeds overtook the garden."

S: "So, any ideas on what tools we can use?"

B: "How about that stick over there? It will be a one-time use tool; you can throw it away when you are done."

S: "I guess that will work. Will you help me?"

B: "Not this time, you'll be fine. Just do your best with it and I'll see you on the other side."

So Small picked up the stick, scraped the dog crap off of the garage floor, and threw the stick into the outside garbage.

S: "That was gross."

B: "I know. So who is going to walk the dogs tomorrow so they don't crap in the garage again?"

S: "I will, wanna go with me? It might be fun, we can plan our weekend."

B: "Sure. Sounds good!"

*it didn't really happen like that. I just scraped it off with the stick without talking to anyone.
