Entrepreneurs
My friend David just shared with me an article he wrote on Medium. In it he discussed entrepreneurship in schools. Damn that guy is smart. I don’t just mean because he has a big vocabulary, which he does. Or that he understands history and human behavior, which he does as well. His 3 degrees from UCLA give some insight to his smarts as well, I think the reason I say that is because I see him able to navigate complex ideas, and not get lost in the details. He seems to know what to pay attention to, and what to discard. Hearing his insights when I have questions helps me get clarity.
Sort of. See, I always tend to think that I’m on the “right path” when I hear educators talk about how things should be. Without going into details of stuff I try to do in class, the bottom line is I try to show kids how to navigate the world using things that are accessible to them where they are, using my best attempt to see the world through their eyes. I’m an empathetic person, at least that’s what people tell me, so I believe them. There is a part of me that believes it as well, but is not clear to me.
