Mission Statement

Having a mission statement still brings up negative connotations in my judgemental mind about being a dork, but whatever, it helps me focus and stay on track so I’ve got one. Here was my method:

1. Fill out the Personal Goals Map.
2. Compare it to my previous version from last year.
3. Review it daily for a few days and make any adjustments.
4. Write my mission statement.

I’ve been doing this for years, so the process is getting easier, but I love being reflective and trying to encapsulate my ideas into a single package, especially during the summer when I’m recharging and preparing for the next school year. I’m going to do a podcast episode where I describe this more in detail, but here is my Personal Goals Map.

So with all that being said, my mission statement for the upcoming year is “Create an environment of Positivity, Courage, and Hope.”
