Remove the Excess
Sometimes we have to cut out or cut off the things that used to be good or necessary, but no longer serve us. This requires careful thinking, and understanding of the role of people, food, habits, etc. Use your thoughts to guard your heart, be careful of serving your emotions.
These were wise words for the morning. I need to find better ways to impart to people my views. I need to do a better job managing. I need to do a better job following through. I need to do more communicating through written word. Not more words, but get better at succinctly communicating my thoughts and expectations. I think that calendar events will greatly help. So the question is: why have I not just put events into the calendar and communicated that way? It doesn’t really matter why, just start now.
Reminders/email- I use reminders to plan out when I am going to talk to people face to face, but most other people use and like email. I always do much better when I communicate my questions through email, but for some reason I don’t do it consistently. I put all of my thoughts of next actions into my reminders, but I ought to just send those out in an email. In the past I have sent out questions, then when I get new information back, I stop what I am working on and jump to the project that people were getting back to me on. It’s not productive.
My playful nature is starting to catch on with other people though, we had a little breakthrough in creating a stop motion film, one of my team members created a short video, and they said it was fun and therapeutic. What more could you ask for?
I am still falling behind on my papers, this is another night of being exhausted mentally, and overeating to compensate for not taking care of myself and eating food throughout the day. I’ve been tracking my food for the last 3 days, not completely accurately, but still doing it.
