The Healthy Self Blog Series Episode 1

This post will be about my workflow, tools, and strategies. I will start with my Panda Planner

. Years ago I bought it for my daughter when she was in high school. I like the feel of it, it's leathery and has a useful rubber band. It also has a scratchy sticker on it, I got it from the President of the Neurodiversity Club. I'm the advisor for the club.

When I open it, there are a few Organizational and Emotion Regulating tools I am using. I’m not very consistent with either of those tools, but I know basically how they work and I think about their structure in my imagination.

I can show this structure that I see using my iPad and Apple Pencil. I can also show it by using my phone.
I did this one on my iPhone with the Markup Tool.
1. A column of current projects, in descending order of the sequence I think they should be started on. Also could be called “Current Projects”. The bottom sideways ones are incoming, projects deemed less of a priority, or they are not in line yet to be worked on for various reasons, such as being dependent on another task. I am trying to be more strict that I’m working on the thing that is actually most important. My goal is to get my ESN Credential by December, which is doable, but I also want to one-man show produce a podcast, while also advising how to produce a podcast to a group of students who are neurodiverse. A few other visions I have are that my classroom facilities and learning environment support the needs of my students, so I need to set up a way to easily review my students’accommodations to ensure they have all the tools that have been deemed necessary to instruct them while they are at school. However, I also need to keep on top of my daily Student Update reports, and as of writing this, I still have yet to scan them in. This is because it is Saturday, the day I always intend to do my Weekly Review, in which I review how the week went from different aspects, re-organize and re-prioritize, by looking ahead at what deadlines, events, and tasks I have coming up in the next week. To do this, I need to open my calendar and my email, the go through each of my emails, searching for clarity, responding to requests, and thanking people for their support.
